Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan teknik pemodelan desain aplikasi mobile untuk memantau pengiriman sampah daur ulang dengan menggabungkan dua metode yaitu Rapid Prototyping dan User-Centered Design (UCD). Aplikasi yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengiriman sampah daur ulang serta memastikan keterlibatan pengguna dalam proses pengelolaan limbah. Pemodelan aplikasi mobile dengan pendekatan Rapid Prototyping dalam pembuatan prototipe interaktif secara cepat sementara User Centre Design diterapkan dalam hal pemahaman secara mendalam terhadap kebutuhan pengguna. Kombinasi Teknik pemodelan antara Rapid Prototyping dan User Centre Design menghasilkan prototipe aplikasi yang baik dalam memonitor pengiriman sampah daur ulang, memberikan kontribusi positif dalam mengatasi permasalahan monitoring pengiriman sampah dan dampak positif pada industri daur ulang dimana pengujian akhir prototipe Efficiency, Effectiveness, Satisfaction, dan Usability yang telah dikembangkan berhasil menunjukkan hasil yang sangat positif. Proses pengembangan prototipe aplikasi mobile melalui beberapa tahapan antara lain analisis awal, perancangan prototipe, verifikasi dan pengujian awal, iterasi dan perbaikan, serta evaluasi akhir desain. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat Efficiency dan Effectiveness pada pengujian akhir prototipe aplikasi sangat tinggi, dengan rata-rata nilai 5.00 sedangkan dari sisi Satisfaction dan Usability memperoleh rata-rata nilai sebesar 4.75.

 

Abstract

This research aims to develop a mobile application design modeling technique for monitoring recycling waste shipments by combining two methods: Rapid Prototyping and User-Centered Design (UCD). The application is developed to enhance the effectiveness of recycling waste shipments and ensure user engagement in waste management processes. Mobile application modeling with the Rapid Prototyping approach enables the rapid creation of interactive prototypes, while User-Centered Design is applied to gain in-depth understanding of user needs. The combination of modeling techniques between Rapid Prototyping and User-Centered Design results in a well-designed application prototype for monitoring recycling waste shipments, making a positive contribution to addressing monitoring issues in waste shipment and having a positive impact on the recycling industry. In the final prototype testing, Efficiency, Effectiveness, Satisfaction, and Usability demonstrated very positive results. The development process of the mobile application prototype involves several stages, including initial analysis, prototype design, verification and initial testing, iteration and improvement, as well as final design evaluation. The research findings show that the level of Efficiency and Effectiveness in the final prototype testing is very high, with an average score of 5.00, while from the perspective of Satisfaction and Usability, an average score of 4.75 is obtained.
