Abstract

The limited human resources of labor inspection and the geographical condition of Indonesia, which is an archipelago, are the main reasons for the importance of using digital technology in the implementation of labor inspection. The lack of coordination between agencies related to labor inspection has resulted in the system of data collection and reporting on the implementation of labor inspection that has not been running properly. The rapid development of information and communication technology is expected to be able to overcome the problems faced by labor inspectors in the context of enforcing labor law. This study aims to determine how much the use of digital technology can help the implementation of labor inspection in Indonesia. The results of the research are expected to provide input for relevant agencies in the development and development of digital technology in the field of labor inspection. The analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively descriptively using primary data obtained through questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The selection of research samples using purposive sampling method. The selected sample is a province that is densely industrial, namely West Java Province and Banten Province. Information technology that has been developed by the Ministry of Manpower in the form of Sisnaker and Siwasnaker has not been able to provide maximum benefits for the implementation of labor inspection. The lack of coordination between relevant agencies in providing data and reporting on the implementation of labor inspection is one of the obstacles in the utilization of Information and Communication Technology. The lack of socialization, guidance and granting of access rights by the Ministry of Manpower is an obstacle to using the Sisnaker and Siswasnaker applications. Strong regulations are needed in regulating coordination between relevant agencies in providing data and developing ICT in the field of labor inspection.
